Christian Women’s Fellowship (CWF) responded to the California wildfires. The CWF voted to give $100 to each of following agencies below. All of these agencies have a 4-star (highest possible) rating with Charity Navigator and have a score of 100%. That means 100% of the money donated goes to the service provided.
Direct Relief (providing medical supplies to hospitals and emergency medical facilities).
Pasadena Humane (rescuing, sheltering and reuniting pets with owners affected by the wildfires in Southern California).
California Community Foundation (aiding the Palisades fire recovery efforts, supporting residents and rebuilding).
World Central Kitchen (providing meals to communities affected by the fires. To date over 200,000 meals have been served since January 8).
Team Rubicon (a veteran-led group that helps first responders who are working in the cleanup and also setting in place sandbags for February, the rainiest month in California).
Faith Sunday School Class also provided $100 to a fifth agency.
One of our members who grew up in Palisades said her elementary school is gone, her home is gone, the buildings she knew and loved in this small city are all gone. It makes her and her family so very sad to see this destruction.
