Pentecost Sunday is one of the most joyful and meaningful days in the life of the Church.
It’s the day we remember the gift of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the Church in Acts 2—the moment when God gathered people from many places and formed them into one community with a shared purpose and a shared hope. Pentecost reminds us that the Church is not just something we attend. It’s something the Spirit is still creating among us today. 🔥
This year at First Christian Church Broken Arrow, Pentecost will be a special day in the life of our congregation as we celebrate what God is doing among us and look ahead to where the Spirit is leading us next.
During worship, we will commission our Vision Team, praying for them as they help guide our congregation in this season of renewal and discernment. Their work will help us continue listening for how God is calling FCCBA to serve our neighbors and live out our mission for the good of Broken Arrow.
After worship, everyone is invited to stay for a Pentecost Potluck Fellowship Dinner at noon. The church will provide spaghetti, and members are invited to bring vegetables, salads, or desserts to share. A sign-up poster is available in the narthex. 🍝
Pentecost is a wonderful Sunday to invite a friend, reconnect if you’ve been away for a while, or come see what God is doing at FCCBA. It’s a day to celebrate the Spirit’s presence, the gift of community, and the future God is shaping among us.
We hope you’ll join us. 🕊️
