Good to Know

There's a particular kind of energy that fills a room when people show up not to be heard, but to listen. That's what we experienced at the Community Listening Forum, and it's still on our minds days later.

Every city has people who see it most clearly. They're the ones who get the calls at 2 a.m., who walk the neighborhoods, who know which family just lost their footing and which street needs a stop sign before somebody gets hurt. They carry the needs of Broken Arrow in a way most of us never have to.

I haven’t done the research, but I’m fairly confident that no one has ever come to faith in Christ because of a church marquee sign. At best, marquee signs help a church become visible in its community.

More than 100 children and youth visited this year's FCCBA booth at the Rose Festival's Kids' Zone. Organized by Doris Crews and the church's Evangelism Team, the church provided rocks and markers, and the kids' creativity did the rest on this fun art project.
